Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By signing up for updates, creating an account, or otherwise using Find Your People ("FYP"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FYP. By signing up or creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. FYP reserves the right to remove any user or subscriber at any time and for any reason, including suspected violation of these terms.

3. Email Communications

By signing up for updates, you agree to receive emails from FYP about the app launch, new features, product updates, and related announcements. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at alexandra@findyourpeople.co. Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not affect transactional or account-related communications.

4. SMS & Text Message Communications

By providing your phone number and creating an account, you expressly consent to receive text messages from FYP, including but not limited to: account verification codes (OTP), security alerts, and transactional notifications related to your account and use of the app.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact alexandra@findyourpeople.co. Opting out of SMS communications may limit your ability to access certain features of the app, including account verification.

FYP will not use your phone number for promotional SMS without your separate and explicit consent.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to use FYP for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm other users, third parties, or FYP. This includes but is not limited to: harassment, impersonation, distributing spam or malicious content, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service.

6. Privacy

Your use of FYP is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. FYP will not sell, rent, or share your phone number or email address with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

7. In-Person Events

FYP facilitates connections between users through community events. FYP is not responsible for the actions of event hosts or attendees, and is not liable for any incidents, damages, or injuries that occur at or in connection with events listed on the platform. Users attend events at their own risk.

8. Service Availability

FYP services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. FYP does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service and is not liable for any issues related to email delivery, SMS delivery, or service availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FYP and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our services, even if FYP has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FYP and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Changes to Terms

FYP reserves the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes where reasonably practicable. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Texas.
